Social Security

Postby Traveler » Sat Jun 05, 2010 2:33 pm

Would like to know if anyone has an idea on how to collect all of the Social Secuity that they have taken out through the years. I would like to be able to get it all back, with interest. Have not heard of any procedures to try yet, other than writing them a letter stating, " there has been a change in Beneficiary" and to direct the amount in my account, to a new account or send me the amount with interest to my mailing address. Does anyone have any ideas?

That sounds like a good idea but I have not heard of anyone trying to do it. Just a thought to consider on trying to get it back though is only half of what is in your account you put there. The other half was contributed by your employer(s).
